Candle Ingredients

Farm & Ranch Candle Co.'s clean candles are hand poured, using premium waxes such as USA grown soy, locally sourced beeswax (when available) and beef tallow (but NEVER paraffin) and we use premium phthalate-free & no CMRs (Carcinogens, Mutagens, or Reproductive toxins) fragrances and this is why we say that our candles grade PRIME. We use cotton and/or sustainable wooden wicks. The wooden wicks require some new candle burning knowledge: you cannot light burnt wood, right? So, you must flake off the charred wood from the previous burn, discard it while it's cool, and then relight the remaining wood. NOTE! Do not cut the wooden wick as you may cut it too short & it will not light, stay lit, nor burn nicely to the bottom of the vessel. Just flake off what charred wood will flake off & resume burning your lovely candle.

How to enjoy your Candles safely.

Before you light a candle, always trim the cotton wick to ¼ inch (flake off charred wood wick to ⅛") and remove any debris left in the wax pool such as wick trimmings or matches.

The first burn is the most important. Candles should burn one hour for every 1 inch in diameter of the actual candle size.

It is recommended that candles do not burn for longer than four hours and cool for at least two hours before relighting.

Wooden Wicks, NOTE: The wooden wicks require some new candle burning knowledge: you cannot light burnt wood, right?
